Trevor Erickson

Trevor Erickson is the founder of Clandestine Films, as well as co-producer & stunt coordinator for "Cold Soldiers". Trevor studied film production at Trident Technical College & has been involved in the local film community for over 12 years. He recently played the son of Clarence Felder in "All For Liberty", as well as serving on the crew in various roles. Erickson has been training for 4 years in visual effects production including 3d animation & motion graphics. This training serves as part of his vision for Clandestine Films, which is for it to become a cutting edge production company, utilizing the latest advances in digital filmmaking technology & pushing the limits of what the independent film can achieve.

Nick Smith

Cold Soldiers is directed and co-produced by Nick Smith (All For Liberty). The BBC-trained, British-born Smith has worked as a crewmember on a diverse range of movies, including The Road to Glory, House of Mirth and The Little Vampire.

He made award-winning documentaries and ran The Film School Scotland before moving to the USA in 2003. Smith is also a bestselling author and he wrote the screenplay for Cold Soldiers.

Michael Easler

Currently celebrating 34 years as a performer, he began his career as a mainstay during the 1970s as a college and community theatre actor, later diverging on a 5 year side trip as a southeastern road musician and songwriter. A veteran of over 75 theatrical productions, he has appeared in such notables as Pump Boys & Dinettes, Cabaret, Oleanna, Breaker Morant, Foxfire, 12 Angry Men, and the World Premier of Howard Richardson’s Brink Of Brimstone. Film credits include: Chattahoochie, Rich In Love, All For Liberty and two guest appearances for The Travel Channel.

R.W. Smith

R.W. Smith has worked for over a decade in theatre and in film. He currently works as Company Manager for PURE Theatre in Charleston, S.C., where he acts, writes, directs, and/or produces up to seven plays a year.  Some of his theatrical credits include Death of a Salesman, True West, American Buffalo, MacBeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Number, Cloud 9, The Pillowman, and Killer Joe. His film/television credits include Vampire Resurrection, Silent Scream (Winner of NY International Film Fest Best Psychological Thriller), Cold Soldiers and Army Wives.

Bettina Beard

Bettina's interest in theatre began in high school where she participated in every school production. During the summer, Bettina spent time at Interlochen Arts Camp, and the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London, England.
After high school, she continued her training at the American Academy of Dramatic Art (AADA) in New York City, where she graduated with an Associate's Degree in Theatre. Following graduation she was asked to be a member of the zAcademy Company, which is a one year extended study program for a select group of graduates.

Sandra VanNatta

Sandra VanNatta brings a keen emotional connection to her film roles. She began as an educator with a master’s degree in guidance and counseling. She was a print model/commercial actor when her schedule allowed and landed several national SAG spots. She appeared in the 2004 film favorite The Notebook as “Aunt Jeanette.” She was the sister of Joan Allen and aunt to Rachel McAdams under the direction of Nick Cassavettes.
She can next be seen in 2008’s Leatherheads as “Beautiful Woman” in scenes with George Clooney, Renee Zellweger, John Krazinski, and Jonathan Pryce.

John Brennan

John Brennan first started taking improv classes in 2003. He was fortunate enough to be asked to join the house team 'Fishing with Dynamite' and the improv Tour company 'The Have Nots Touring Team.'  He has co-founded a sketch comedy group, The Bottom Line, that created a dozen different shows and lasted 3 years. Currently he is part of Big Dicktionary, a 2 person improv show, performed with Timmy Finch of The Have Nots.

He also is touring his one man show, The Banana Monologues, a story about his X girlfriend

He also loves animals.

Nat Jones

Having given birth to his second career as a stage actor well along in mid-life, Mr. Jones finds himself making the sometimes thorny transition to screen acting in Cold Soldiers. He made his film debut as Colonel Marlowe in All For Liberty, a soon-to-be-released independent film also directed by Nick Smith. Since his arrival in Charleston a year and a half ago, Mr. Jones has had the distinct pleasure of tackling meaty roles at several of the area’s theatrical venues, including Shelly Levene in Glengarry Glen Ross and The Old Man in A Christmas Story at the Village Playhouse in Mount Pleasant, and Michal in the southeast premiere of The Pillowman at Charleston’s Pure Theatre.

Janine McCabe

McCabe has an MFA in Costume Design from UVa and is currently the Costume Design Professor at the College of Charleston where she has recently designed Arms and the Man, The Children’s Hour, Richard III and Lysistrata. Before coming to teach at CofC in 2006, Janine spent 5 years working in NYC as an Assistant Costume Designer for Broadway, Off Broadway, Opera, Dance and Regional Theatre including The Wedding Singer, Wonderful Town, Thoroughly Modern Millie, San Francisco Ballet’s The Nutcracker and Alcina for New York City Opera.
